Hailey has officially entered what one would call "The Terrible Two's." She loves to do things all by herself and when you intervene, a meltdown is sure to follow. She also has become very opinionated when it comes to mealtimes. Breakfast is an easy meal- she eats a lot in the morning. (Today it was a strudel, 1/4 banana, drinkable yogurt, 1/4 granola bar she stashed somewhere in the house, and a few goldfish, also from somewhere she stashed in the house). Lunch and Dinner have been becoming a battle, especially if she is not at home. Luckily, last night she decided that she would eat some baby food pouches I had laying around. At least I know she is getting some fruits and veggies. She still is pretty weird about textures.
We got our Christmas tree last Friday. I have lights on and it's all decorated- Hailey hung 3 ornaments. She pretty much leaves it alone. When the lights are on and points at it and says, "Oooooo."
Her favorite movies are Tangled, Despicable Me, and Monsters, Inc. These have surpassed Mickey Mouse at times and we are trying to find new movies for her to like.... I walk around the house singing Tangled songs!
She still loves her kitties. I think Bella has grown to love Hailey. She tolerates hair pulling, tail holding/pulling, and an occasional poke in the ear. Buster is still her buddy at my Mom and Dad's. If she is napping, he is napping. If she is busy around the house, he is right there with her.
Hailey still loves her Mommy A LOT, too much in times in fact. It has gotten a little worse, as she has gotten more opinionated. Daddy enjoys the weekends when I am at work, when he can get lots of snuggle time in and when Hailey prefers him over other people.
Hailey experienced her first deer hunting season. She has learned to like the animals in Grandpa's "dead" room, so she was pretty excited to see her Uncle Scotty's 2 massive deer of the season. One was a huge 10-pointer with his bow and the other a massive 17+ pointer, measuring around 200, with his muzzleloader. The 17-pointer should land Scott with some state records. Hailey was very excited that she could be at the house when that rolled in out of the woods!!
Hailey also loves her new cousin Kalli. She likes to help with diaper changes and is pretty intrigued with the whole bottle thing. She loves giving Kalli kisses and holding her hand/arm. Hailey is still pretty unsure when I am holding Kalli, but after a few minutes, she is over it.
