Officially a Toddler/Big Girl

DSC00451

Hailey officially is a toddler.  She hasn't reached any big milestone really, she just looks older and acts older.  She is a complete ham now when the camera comes out and smiles (well, more like scrunches up her nose and looks adorable).
She understands what farts are and starts laughing when she lets them rip!  She also knows when Daddy is gone and I have a hard time getting her to go to sleep when she doesn't get a kiss and hug from Daddy, so we will have to figure that one out.  We normally facetime, but if Chris is landing late, we can't chat.
She also is starting to try to "swim" more in the tub.  Before when in a pool, she just wants to stand on the steps and not do anything too daring.  Chris really had to coax her to get her in the middle of the pool.  But in the tub, Auntie Katie taught her to blow bubbles and she has been putting her face further and further under water.  She actually held her breath when she went under by accident the other day!  She also like to float on her belly and kick.  We are working on floating on her back now.  I was hesitant to do swim lesson with her earlier this winter because she would freak out anywhere outside of the steps, but now Chris wants to do lessons with her this summer.  Something her and daddy can do together!
She also finally has kicked whatever bug she had for a month and is eating again.  YAY!  She had lost a pound in 3 weeks and when you only weigh 20 pounds at 21 months old, that's a big deal.  So, we are doing our best to fatten her up!
Hailey is also in her big girl bed for naps.  We have a room downstairs all set up for her and she loves it.  She doesn't want to leave most times unless bribed!  As soon as I can figure out how to get my phone pics on here, I'll put some pics up of her room.
Mom is working with me to get the cats' "area" Hailey-proofed, so as soon as that happens, the gate at the top of the stairs will be open, toys will get moved down there, and Hailey will have free reign of the basement.  Right now, she likes to play with the cat food and water and creates quite the mess!

(Putting change in the merry-go-round)

I don't know what it is about change (probably because her Daddy is obsessed with it), but she loves it.  She gets a handful and moves it from secret hiding spot to secret hiding spot.  (Don't worry, she has never tried to put it in her mouth)  Chris officially said that we can only give her pennies now because he doesn't want her losing the silver coins!  :)  She can keep herself entertained just with change for an entire hour.  I don't hear a peep out of her!

Here's me and the little dude at 25 weeks.  Because of his difficulty to give up a heartbeat at doctor's appointments, I have gotten a lot more sneak peaks of him than with Hailey.  He also is creating havoc on my veins and I'm officially wearing maternity support hose.  I never thought I would be so excited to wear them (I hated them with Hailey), but if it means no leg pain during the day, I'm all for it!!
