Hailey-isms

Hailey is definitely settling into her personality very well.  I always tell people (now that we have Lucas) that Hailey was our high maintenance baby.  She needed to eat when she needed to eat and needed to sleep when she needed to sleep.  She looks just like me when I was little (minus the blue eyes).
I just realized a little while ago that she is truly my mini-me - we both need sleep and need food to be happy. It's true... ask Chris!  :)

She has been working on her molars these last couple of weeks and meltdowns come very easily, but Hailey is my first baby, so it's easy to snuggle her a little more and blame it on the molars.

Here's what she has been up to lately!

For some reason, she likes to take the chairs and spread them out in the living room.  More recently, she puts them in a circle and seats her friends on them.

She likes to help with tubby time.  She gets Lucas' feet.  Note that he is smiling.  He just stares and stares at her during tub time.  After Lucas is done, Hailey usually jumps in the water... her and her water!!

Cheeeese!!

The girl loves her rocks!!  What strollers aren't meant to hold rocks??

Cheeeeeese!!

We put them all in the bucket and she kept dumping them out on the driveway and putting them back in.  There was a pretty big rock in there that always found my toes somehow!

LOVES pizza sauce (and spaghetti sauce)  When I was making a pizza for Chris, I was spreading out the sauce and put the spoon back in the jar with the remaining sauce.  She helped herself to the spoon and ate the rest!!  (Hey, calories are calories!!)

She loves cows, but was a little weary at the Washington Co Fair.  She said she wanted to pet one, but when it came down to it, she chickened out.

At State Fair it was a different story... she loved the horses!...

Petted the cow (still needed someone with her though) ...

Then when we went a few days later with Daddy, she got some guts and went to the cows all by herself
And when in for the solo pet!

She loves to play in rocks and corn too I guess

She takes her friends with her everywhere!
This was a cart that my Grandma Taylor had refinished for her.  It from when my Mom and Auntie Debbie were kids.

When she goes down for quiet time or bed time and I hear her on the monitor for awhile, I usually go down after she falls asleep to cover her up and move her animals away.  This is what I found during quiet time!  She moved all of her friends except for her favs up on her windowsill!

It's no lie that she LOVES her brother!  Whenever I am taking pictures of him, she gets in there!

Hailey is developing quite the personality and we LOVE every bit of her!!

  1. I am fairly certain that you and I were meant to be friends at birth...not only do we buy the same clothes, but we purchase the same furniture as well. I have Hailey's lamp in Brooke's room!!! Lol. The kids are SO adorable. Love them. Hopefully someday our kids can meet up and play!
