Oh my Boy... Getting so big so fast. I don't remember when Hailey started hitting milestones, but it seems like Lucas is ahead of the curve.
Lucas is quite the active man. He has been trying to hold his head up for quite awhile and almost has it mastered. He really likes to see what's going on and is so, so nosy. He gives out smiles like no other. Last Friday, he finally started talking. He has been working on it for awhile, just moving his tongue and opening his mouth, and finally finally he got a sound out. Boy is he loud. He still is Chris' child... just go with the flow Mr. Cool, but is starting to be a little more opinionated. Mostly when he wants to be part of the action. He loves to be up on your shoulder looking around.
He tolerates quite a bit of love/abuse from his sister. She wants to hold him more and more, and is all about smothering him with kisses. I feel bad telling her to leave him alone, but she is not the most gentle person.
Lucas has been sleeping pretty decently- only getting up once to eat. We had a few rough nights in there, but overall he is still a good sleeper.
At his check-up, he weighed in at 12lbs 1oz (51%) and was 22 3/4 (34%) inches long. He is so chunky compared to his long and lean sister. Even Dr. D. was impressed by the chunkiness of his thighs!
Happy 2 months old!!
